The short version
Type a reference number, get a bill. That number travels to the official PITC billing portal so the document can be rendered back to you, and that is the whole transaction. There is nothing to sign up for, and this site carries no advertising network, no tag manager and no analytics product — so no third party is handed your browsing behaviour.
What actually gets processed
- The reference number you type. It is passed straight through to PITC to retrieve that bill and rendered in your browser. It is not stored in a database here.
- Ordinary server logs. Any web server records things like IP address, user agent and requested path. Ours is no exception. How long those logs live depends on the hosting configuration, and they are never joined to a reference number.
- Reference history, if you use it. Numbers you have looked up before can be remembered for convenience. That list is written to your own browser's local storage on your device — it is never transmitted to this server. Clearing your browser data erases it.
- Notification preferences, if you turn them on. Whether you want billing reminders or site-change notices, and a timestamp of the last reminder shown, are kept in local storage on your device. No subscription endpoint is registered with any push service and nothing about your choice reaches this server.
Notifications
If you allow them, this site can show you two things: a reminder roughly a month after your last lookup, when a new bill is likely to be available, and a note when something here changes. Both are decided by your own browser from data already on your device.
What that means in practice is that we cannot tell you the moment a specific bill is issued. Doing so would require us to keep your reference number on a server and check it against PITC on your behalf — a standing record of your utility account, which is exactly what the section above says we do not create. We would rather the reminder be approximate than hold that data. Revoking permission in your browser settings stops it immediately.
Who else is involved
One party: PITC. Bill documents and their images come from bill.pitc.com.pk and related hosts run by PITC and the DISCOs, so your request necessarily reaches them. Their handling of that request is governed by their own policy, not ours.
Advertising, analytics and cookies
None of the three. This site does not run an advertising network, does not embed an analytics or tag-management script, and sets no tracking cookies of its own. Web fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, so loading a page does not reveal your IP address to a font provider either. If that ever changes, this section changes with it and the date above moves.
Children
The service exists for adults administering a utility account. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Revisions
When the site gains or loses a feature that touches data handling, this page is updated and the “Last updated” line above reflects it.
