Do you need batteries for net metering? No — grid-tied net metering runs fine without storage; a battery only adds backup on top of it. Does solar remove fixed charges? No — fixed charges and taxes still apply regardless of how little you import.
Who approves the connection? Your DISCO, applying NEPRA's framework — keep your reference number on hand for every piece of correspondence with them.
